About Me

“Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” That quote sums up my life in real estate! Prior to real estate, I taught middle school mathematics at Alton Middle School for 8 years. Other jobs I held include: retail management, bartending & serving, and restaurant management. I can honestly say real estate does not feel like work because I love and enjoy helping clients every single day. Originally from O’Fallon, Illinois, I moved to Southern Illinois in 2014 and pursued my career in real estate. I enjoy traveling and camping with my significant other, John, and our miniature dachshunds, Yadier and Wrigley. My passions are cooking, hiking, and going to Cardinals games. I like giving back to the community and donate a portion of every sale to the local Children’s Miracle Network hospital. I have always valued education and appreciate being a life-long learner. After receiving my masters at McKendree University, I later completed the education and test to obtain my Illinois broker’s license. In March 2018, I took courses and the state test and became a managing broker. Providing guidance & professional assistance for people making important real estate decisions is a responsibility I value and take pleasure in making my number one priority. Through RE/MAX Elite of Mt. Vernon, I work in a partnership with licensed, designated managing broker and REALTOR® Robin Gelfius. We work together to help our clients buy and sell their properties. In our partnership, I handle many details and behind-the-scenes, online work. I specialize in the marketing and ensure a smooth closing by proactively communicating with the lenders, appraisers, and title companies. As realtors, we abide by a strict code of ethics and use the highest degree of integrity. In June 2018, we became the proud owners of RE/MAX Elite. Robin and I enjoy providing our agents with training and support and giving our clients continuous great service through integrity and excellence.
